
Paolo Carignani - conductor
With a vast repertory spans from Donizetti to Puccini, Rossini to Strauss and
Verdi, Paolo Carignani has collaborated with the world's most prestigious
theatres, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Berliner Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper
Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, Opéra National
in Paris, Zurich Opernhaus, Concertgebouw and Royal Opera House in Amsterdam,
Metropolitan Opera in New York, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, and opera
houses in Brussels, Antwerp and Oslo as well as Italy's major opera houses.
Paolo Carignani has just gained great success conducting Guillaume Tell
in Amsterdam, La Traviata in Vienna and Nabucco at the New
National Theatre in Tokyo.
His future plans for 2013 include: Nabucco at the Wiener
Staatsoper; Falstaff, Otello and a concert at the Bayerische Staatsoper
in Munich; Otello in Zurich; Rigoletto in Strasbourg and then on
tour in Mulhouse; Giovanna d’Arco at the Salzburg Festival. In the next
seasons he will also conduct: Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci,
Andrea Chénier and La Fanciulla del West at the Wiener Staatsoper;
Tosca at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; Le Villi with the
Orchestre National de France in Paris; L’Amico Fritz in Strasbourg; La
Traviata, Nabucco, Il Trovatore, Norma, Macbeth at the
Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich; Carmen in Toronto; Les Vepres
Siciliennes in Copenaghen; Pagliacci at the Teatro Petruzzelli in
Bari; Turandot in Bregenz; Simon Boccanegra in Antwerp. Paolo Carignani
will conduct important productions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
Mr Carignani will be back to Japan conducting a series of concerts in Tokyo with
the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra.
